Loyal customers are what keep a company in business. This is true, however showing your customers some appreciation and going the extra mile sometimes can also result in more sales and profit in the long run. Probably just kindly told you that they can`t help you with your request. I`m also pretty sure they didn`t exactly give you the middle finger. Just wanted to share my story! Businesses doing whatever they can to stay in business.nothing new about that wentzelitis. oh look now we'll support vsts, oh now you can use our synths in your program of choice! i'm guessing more lenient update plans etc are to come if they haven't already, but it's too little too late for me. Now it looks like they're trying to keep their head above water with everyone leaving them. they didn't reply back so they don't care.

bought fl studio and have been using it happily since. ya know what? i responded to their email that i was leaving their program, uninstalled my brand new reason 8 upgrade (that was already outdated) that i bought about a month earlier and never touched reason again. around this time i'm hearing a bunch of people using fl studio and remember how i used fruity loops before reason and now they're more legit, listen to their customers, and have free updates for life. and again they respond basically with a middle finger. now being older and wiser i know they won't give me the free upgrade but i figure why not at least email them and tell them my previous story as a teenager and how i missed the free upgrade by only 2 days this time. again without fail 32 days this time and reason 9 comes out. i felt cheated and used.įinally into reason 8 i decide to upgrade as it's been 4 versions (though still no vst even though everyone wanted it and people are starting to move away from reason and their stubbornness) but i was happy with it and decided ya know what, i'm an adult, i have money, i'll buy their upgrade. as a teenager i wish i would have just pirated it so i could have gotten it for free AND had the newest version. i paid my hard earned money and it was already outdated, and the company treated me like dirt. i continued to use reason for years but was never thrilled to be using it like i was before their exchange with me. this really disappointed me as a teenager and left a sour taste in my mouth. i explained to them i was 1 day off and spent all my money and would appreciate the free upgrade. their "free update policy" is 30 days (this may have been 51 and 50 days, it's been over 10 years). and then 31 days later an update came out. i bought it and was filled with joy to OWN my first music producing program. i saved 400 dollars of my money which wasn't easy in highschool.
